Sphynx cats have been making their mark as the “strange pet” for TV and movies for some time now. Let’s have a look at who is who on TV and the big screen, you may even find some new Sphynxes you weren’t aware of.

LA Ink - Don Sphynx Cat Ludwig stars
Ludwig is Kat Von D’s Don (Russian) Sphynx and makes regular appearances on the reality TV series based around Kat’s tattoo parlour and her great body art. Ludwig has amazing colouring and I love his facial markings

Episode 21 Rachel buys a sphynx cat
I don’t want to give too much of the plot away but Rachel buys a Sphynx cat. Unfortunately the temperament portrayed by the story writers is not really indicative of what Sphynx cats are truly like.
Mr Bigglesworth and Mini Mr Bigglesworth
Mr Bigglesworth definitely steals the scenes he is in
Mr Bigglesworth and Mini Mr Bigglesworth are two pink and white Sphynxes just like Sphynx cat Luna. They play the pets of the arch nemesis of Austin Powers, international man of mystery.
I Know Who Killed Me
By all accounts this was a real stinker of a movie (even my teenage daughter says it was). The Sphynx cat was used in an artsy way which apparently had lots of meaning, along with a bunch of owls. Still a role is a role!
Grandma Wrinkle – Real Housewives of New Jersey
Grandma Wrinkle is the Sphynx cat of Dina Manzo, the blond Real Housewife. Being in Australia I don’t get to see this series but I sure get to hear a lot about it via Twitter.
Alas I have not been able to find video of probably the most talked about cat on Twitter at the moment. I see so many people saying they want a Sphynx because they see this one, but also I see a lot of people who are confronted for the first time seeing one and do not react favorably (I must admit I get a giggle out of people freaking about Sphynx looks).

Thanks for the kind comment Candice. Yes Luna is my avatar pic on Twitter. Pierre doesn’t have a Twitter account as my daughter won’t let me Twitter for him ( I think she wants that for herself one day).

Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Sabrina sugested that Salem get a new look… He turned into a Sphynx. It was the same year they aired the “Friends” episode with the Sphynx in it. I have it on video somewhere.
