New Sphynx Kitten Soon
Posted in Sphynx Cat News on 08. Feb, 2010
Say hello to my new Sphynx kitten (should everything go to plan). Her name will be Lucy and she is currently 8 weeks old. Ahead of her will be desexing when she reaches 1kg in weight, recovery and then she will make the 2 hour flight from the breeder in Queensland to us in Sydney. I am so excited that we are going to have a new baby in the house and I hope Pierre will enjoy having a more energetic playmate than Sphynx Cat Luna; she prefers to play in her own way and not wrestle on the floor.
I will keep you all up to date with the integration and various events that will bring Sphynx Kitten Lucy into this 2 Sphynx household

What a beautiful kitten! My second sphynx kitten joined my family in December. Epidermis is a mink boy with aqua eyes. He joins my 4 year old Alopecia, a blue boy with green eyes and my 14 year old Cornish Rex Emma. Dermis is quite the energetic boy and is keeping Pecia on his toes! I hope your transition goes well. I’m sure you can hardly wait!
Oh my – look at those ears, eyes & markings! She is really quite the beauty. Fingers crossed that all goes well and Lucy is home with you all in good time.
She looks very serious…or it could be a facade hiding an extremely mischievous personality
She is precious!!!
So cute!
I had a question for you. I have one sphynx and he is a handful with his cleanings and his being a kitten and always running around. How do you take care of two sphynx? I couldn’t imagine having to clean two cat’s ears and bathe two cats. One is hard enough! After having him, even though I love him to death, I never want another kitten again. They have way too much energy and get into too many things.
Have fun with your new baby though, she is so adorable.
Yes and Lucy will make this a 3 Sphynx household! They do slow down after they turn 1, going from many hours of mischief- making to only a couple of hours
Pierre is still looking for Luna to play with him but she would rather find the hottest place in the house and cook herself. I hope Lucy will keep him amused !
Cleaning means an organised Sunday for us. Bath day, nail clipping, ear wiping. It doesn’t take too long and they have both been trained to be still during bath time (though Luna will still try to make a break for it). Adding a third is like adding a third child, it won’t add too much effort…the fourth though….lol
Thanks Terri
Isn’t she just !
Oh she may LOOK serious, but all Sphynxes are balls of naughty
Love your guy’s names
they sound gorgeous!
You are right Donna, i can’t hardly wait …weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww =]
im hoping to get a baby soon me and my wife adopted a 4 year old male about 5 months ago
he was in a bad situation and needed a good home
and im so glad i was able to give him the home he needed.
i had a question though my wife is currently out of town and my little buddy who loves attention is hating every momment of it i work 12 hours a day and my wife works from home so hes used to constant attention
and when i have been getting home from work he has been the biggest little brat hahah. I will be eating dinner and he will climb on things to just knock things over on purpous and the like haha its cute but i can tell hes not to happy about being alone when i have to leave for work so whats the best way to help combat his lonelyness?
He sounds like a real character! How long is your wife away?
As you know by now Sphynxes thrive on love and attention…. and heat. If you cannot be there then you need to ensure there is something that is going to keep him occupied, toys and games. Also a heat source to keep him warm.
Also when you get home make sure he gets lots of attention (but I bet you already do that
).
The usual solution for a single Sphynx is to get another one , so that baby might be just the ticket
haha he is quite the character, she will be returning in two days so not much longer i just want to be more prepared for the next time she is out of town =].
He Has loadssss of toys but is very odd he only plays with them when he wants to and most of the time they are where ever he hid them last haha his bed ( which is a futon covered in blankets for when we are both not home) is plenty warm and he loves it but much prefer’s to sleep directly between us or on my wife’s pillow while still under the covers haha.
im wondering though how he would react to another kitten since he’s quite spoild and at times i think he pictures more as his pets than the other way around haha.
so im worried about him being jealous.
